So often leaders hope for the best but forget to reward for the best. We need to make sure that we have something to back up our hope.  Here are some of the results my clients are hoping for:

  • Innovative thinking and risk-taking
  • Employee involvement and empowerment
  • High achievement

But unfortunately here’s what sometimes gets rewarded:

  • Proven methods and no mistakes
  • Tight control over operations
  • Another year’s effort

Take a minute to consider what you HOPE will be accomplished and what you will REWARD.
